What can you do with a degree in Human Ecology and a concentration in dietetics?
I’m majoring in Human Ecology and my concentration is Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics. I’d like to be a dietitian, but apparently the internship programs are difficult to get into. I was wondering what other career options are available so that I will have some semblance of a backup plan. Thanks in advance.
I know many dietitians. Some work for the school systems in the lunch programs, some work in nursing homes and other residential or health care facilities. One works for NASA making meals for the astronauts. One is the meal supervisor of an upscale retirement community. A couple of friends run a catering service for private elementary and high schools.
